Insurgency: FG distributes cash, medical supplies to victims in Adamawa


 The Federal Government through the Presidential Committee on the North

East Initiative (PCNI) has do­nated the sum of N1, 000, 000. 00 and Medical supplies to offset the medical bills of victims of the recent bomb blast in Madagali LGA of Adamawa State.

The Chairman, sub-commit­tee on economic development, Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub made this donation while visiting the victims at the General Hospital, Michika and Mubi LGA of Ad­amawa State.

A statement made available to us in Abuja by the PCNI’s Chief Informa­tion Officer (CIO), Odutayo Oluseyi, said the sub- commit­tee members who were on an on – the - spot assessment and stakeholders engagement in Ad­amawa and Taraba State were also accompanied by the CEO of Hethrone USA, Mr. Donnubari Gbaanador had earlier visited the state, met with the Executive Governor, Permanent Secretar­ies of Ministries, Agencies and technocrats in the state on the challenges being faced as a result of Tribal, Communal clashes and the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) as a result of insurgency.

The Chairman applauded the effort and commitment of the Federal Government at substan­tially degrading insurgency and enhancing the economy of the North East.

At a town hall meeting with stakeholders at Madagali, Michika and Uba, he explained the economic development of the Buhari plan as channelled

towards enhancing health fa­cilities, agriculture, education, entrepreneurship, Job creation and rural infrastructure develop­ment of the region as a priority of the administration.
